Volleyball Game Preview: Browne Bruins vs. Cortez Colts

The Browne Bruins will venture away from home to take on the Cortez Colts at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Monday, Browne didn't have quite enough to beat Sierra Linda and fell 3-2. The Bruins have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Browne started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 14-25, 25-20, 25-17, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Cortez came up short against Marcos de Niza on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

Cortez's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Browne, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Browne beat Cortez 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
