Soccer Recap: Hazleton Area Comes Up Short at Home Against Wyoming Area

Hazleton Area unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Wyoming Area Warriors on Friday, falling 6-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hazleton Area of the 6-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2015.

Wyoming Area now has a winning record of 1-0-1.

Looking ahead, Hazleton Area will venture away from home to take on Greater Nanticoke Area at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wyoming Area, they will face off against Honesdale at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
