Softball Game Preview: Barlow Bruins vs. Southridge Skyhawks

The Barlow Bruins will face off against the Southridge Skyhawks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Barlow will be strutting in after a victory while Southridge will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, Barlow got the win against Tigard by a conclusive 13-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bruins.

Kaylee Pokorny 2025 looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, Barlow got a massive performance out of Sydney Trapp 2026, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Alyssa McCormick 2028, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Meanwhile, Southridge suffered their biggest loss since April 19, 2024 on Wednesday. They came up short against McMinnville, falling 16-6.

Southridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Barlow, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
