The Westerville South Wildcats will face off against the Licking Heights Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing isn't great for Westerville South: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Licking Heights has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
It was a proper cat-fight when Westerville South took on Hilliard Bradley on Thursday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 3-2. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Jaguars 25-21 in the first set.
Westerville South took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-23, 19-25, 25-20, 15-6.

Despite the loss, Westerville South had strong showings from Ed Firth, who had 11 digs, and Leo Harden, who had 15 digs, 13 kills, two blocks, and two aces. Harden is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had six or more in each of the last 19 games he's played.
Meanwhile, Licking Heights came into Friday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They won by a set and slipped past Reynoldsburg 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hornets have posted since April 12th.
Licking Heights had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 25-15.
Westerville South's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Licking Heights, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
