Baseball Recap: Cache Comes Up Short

Cache's last matchup with Plainview could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Saturday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Indians, falling 16-5. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Cache saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Deshaun Harvey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Luke Montgomery, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Cache's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Plainview, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-11.

Looking ahead, Cache is taking a road trip to take on Bridge Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Plainview, they will welcome Ardmore at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
