Recap: Golden Gate Titans vs. Immokalee Indians
The Golden Gate Titans can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past Immokalee with points to spare, taking the game 35-16. That's another feather in the cap for Golden Gate, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Chrisna Charlot was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aniah Buchanan, who scored 11 points.
Golden Gate's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12. As for Immokalee, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Golden Gate will take on Dunbar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Dunbar focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 last Thursday. As for Immokalee, they will head out on the road to square off against Oasis at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
