KIPP San Jose Collegiate is headed out to face University Prep Academy after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. KIPP San Jose Collegiate put the hurt on El Primero with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Wolfpack have beaten the Lobos the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lobos has come to flipping the script.

One reason for the win was KIPP San Jose Collegiate's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10, 25-9.

Meanwhile, University Prep Academy came into Tuesday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Golden Eagles have beaten the Lions on their court since May 6, 2022.

University Prep Academy took Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 25-19, 20-25, 19-25, 25-17, 15-11.

KIPP San Jose Collegiate might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from University Prep Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can KIPP San Jose Collegiate avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
