            Baseball Recap: Elizabeth Bulldogs vs. Sotomayor Wolves        
        
		
        
        
            Elizabeth had lost four straight on the road, but  on Thursday they dropped their record down to 2-10 to make it five. They came up short against  the Sotomayor Wolves, falling  10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  12-0  on Monday.
 Elizabeth saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Dominic Munoz, who  went 1-for-2 with one  double.
As for Sotomayor, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games.
 On Sotomayor's side,  Sebastian Mejia was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base. Mejia has become a key player for the Wolves: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 2-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was  Jacob Madrano, who  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Elizabeth wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  match,  a  9-1  defeat against Maywood Academy on the 5th. As for Sotomayor, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  7-2  win against Torres on the 5th.
