Softball Recap: East Bay Comes Up Short

East Bay lost against Durant back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 9-7. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by exactly two runs.

Kamiira Austin was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

East Bay is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11. As for Durant, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Coming up, East Bay will square off against Lakewood Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Durant, they will challenge Plant at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
