Baseball Recap: Mishawaka Marian Comes Up Short

Mishawaka Marian lost against New Prairie on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Knights fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 8-7. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cole Hundt was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Coughlin, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Mishawaka Marian now has a losing record of 7-8. As for New Prairie, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Looking ahead, Mishawaka Marian will venture away from home to face off against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for New Prairie, they will host Hobart at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
