Bellevue is 0-3 against Cedarcrest since March of 2025 but things could change on Friday. The Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Red Wolves at 4:00 p.m. Bellevue has given up an average of 7.1 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Bellevue came up short against Highline on Wednesday, falling 20-3.
Carmen Aguado-Scheyer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Mia Kelley was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Cedarcrest made sure to put some runs up on the board against Sammamish on Wednesday. The Red Wolves blew past the Totems 19-6. Considering the Red Wolves have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Paityn Craig was incredible, firing off three home runs, eight RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-4. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kyle Watson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
Cedarcrest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 11.4.
Cedarcrest pushed their record up to 5-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.7 runs over those games. As for Bellevue, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bellevue hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .335. However, it's not like Cedarcrest struggles in that department as they've averaged .317. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bellevue might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Cedarcrest in their previous meeting last Monday. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
