Baseball Recap: Joel Barlow Picks Up 14th Straight Win on the Road

On Wednesday Joel Barlow's undefeated season almost came to an end. They had just enough and edged out the New Milford Green Wave 3-1. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Falcons have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Will Gregor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gavin Maryott, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Jimmy Kennedy was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Joel Barlow pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for New Milford, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Green Wave 3.2, the Rebels 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
