Softball Recap: Girard Comes Up Short

Girard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-5 to the Ursuline Fighting Irish. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 12-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Quinn Wilster was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Girard's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Ursuline, their record is now 3-10.

Girard didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Harding on the 24th. As for Ursuline, they will welcome Walsh Jesuit at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
