Recap: Riverheads vs. Lee
Riverheads simply couldn't be stopped on Friday, as they easily beat Lee 49-10. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Riverheads, who can brag about seven blowout wins.
The match started off well for Riverheads, whose offense put up 35 first-half points. Lee countered with 3 points, leaving the score at 35-3 going into the half. The Riverheads defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the game.
The win (their 5th in a row) raised Riverheads' record to 7-1. The loss dropped Lee back to even at 4-4.
Riverheads will stay at home next week against Central at 7:00 PM. Central also lit up the scoreboard in their last contest, so this could be a high-scoring contest. Lee will look to defend their home turf against Page County at 7:00 PM. Neither of these teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable defeat.
