Eastland is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on Peoria Christian with a sharp 55-35 win. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Chicago Hope Academy waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 56-50 W against the Bulldogs.

Chicago Hope Academy's victory bumped their record up to 27-7. As for Eastland, their win bumped their record up to 34-4.

Eastland was able to grind out a solid victory over Chicago Hope Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 48-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
