Baseball Recap: Capital City's Win Ends Ten-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Capital City posted their closest win since March 27th on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Smith-Cotton Tigers 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Cavaliers: when they faced off against the Tigers on Tuesday, they had to take a 6-2 defeat.

Capital City's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-22. As for Smith-Cotton, they moved to 19-18 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Capital City will venture away from home to take on Waynesville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. Smith-Cotton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
