Recap: Paxton Tigers vs. Medicine Valley Raiders
The Paxton Tigers were the 68-22 winner over the Medicine Valley Raiders when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Paxton fell just short of Medicine Valley by a score of 39-37. Paxton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Paxton still got an impressive performance from Tommy Markussen, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals. Markussen scored a full 43.2% of Paxton's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tanner Hebblethwaite, who scored 9 points along with 4 steals.
Paxton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Medicine Valley, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Paxton will be playing in front of their home fans against Brady at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Medicine Valley, they will take on Arapahoe at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
