Winning always takes teamwork, but on Wednesday Jack Kurland stepped things up a notch to give Palisades the 'W'. Kurland wasn't messing around, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. The match was his sixth straight with at least one stolen base.

Kurland's strong effort led Palisades over Westchester and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dolphins are a perfect 9-0 against the Comets going back to April of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
