Baseball Recap: Pulaski County Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Pulaski County won the last time they faced Somerset and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Maroons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Briar Jumpers, sneaking past 8-7.

Will Adams was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Carter Ross, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Pulaski County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.5 runs across that stretch. As for Somerset, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Looking ahead, Pulaski County will challenge Garrard County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Somerset, they will face off against Southwestern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Briar Jumpers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
