Nipomo has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Atascadero Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are at an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but likely not for long.

Nipomo is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Sanger just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Apaches by a score of 3-2. While the Titans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Apaches 25-18 in the first set.

Nipomo actually scored more points across those five sets (125-122), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 32-30, 28-26, 24-26, 20-18.

Meanwhile, Atascadero posted their biggest victory since September 24th on Thursday. They put the hurt on Righetti with a sharp 3-0 win.

Atascadero was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-11, 25-19.

Atascadero was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 15 aces in three consecutive contests.

Nipomo's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8. As for Atascadero, their record is now 14-15.
