Volleyball Recap: Hillcrest's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday + How To Watch

After flying high against J.L. Mann on Tuesday, Hillcrest came back down to earth. The Rams came up short against the Easley Green Wave on Thursday, falling 3-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Rams' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Hillcrest took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19, 25-22.

When it comes to explaining why Hillcrest lost, don't look at Addison Nelson. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs and two aces. Nelson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Easley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madison Davis, who had 15 assists and five digs.

Hillcrest moved to 17-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak. As for Easley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-12.

Looking ahead, Hillcrest will be taking part in a tournament against Philip Simmons at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Easley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against T.L. Hanna at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
