It's playoff time, and Rockwall-Heath had no trouble coming through when it counted. They beat the Wylie Pirates on Wednesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-2. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 6-2 victory on Wednesday.

Makenna Burleson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Burleson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kelsey Wathen was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Sophia Morin, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Rockwall-Heath and bumps their season record up to 13-16. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Wylie, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 19-10.

Rockwall-Heath will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pirates: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
