Football Recap: Lindblom Takes a Loss

Lindblom had lost three straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped down to 2-7 to make it four. They were outmatched by the Goode STEM Academy Knights and fell 62-34. The Eagles lost against the Knights in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 22-18 score last time.

Lindblom's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jalen Jackson, who picked up 97 receiving yards and one touchdown. Jackson was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 53 yards. Lindblom also got help from Gavin Tillman, who showed off his sure hands for 90 receiving yards.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Lindblom, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Stephen Edwards, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

As for Goode STEM Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Aedan Cleveland produced another solid performance rushing for 255 yards and four TDs on only ten carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 110.3 rushing yards per game.

Lindblom does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Goode STEM Academy, they will square off against Simeon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Knights' offense will have their work cut out for them.
