Basketball Recap: Monrovia Takes a Loss

Monrovia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kaiser Cats. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cats 42-30 in the first quarter.

Monrovia's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Kaiser, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-10.

Monrovia will square off against San Marino at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kaiser has already played their next matchup (against San Gorgonio), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
