Baseball Recap: Arnold Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Arnold couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the American Heritage Patriots by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Marlins' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Cooper Moss spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Arnold saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Lindsey, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Arnold's defeat dropped their record down to 27-8. As for American Heritage, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 28-6.

As of now, neither Arnold nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
