After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lakota East, Hamilton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Middletown Middies. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Big Blue considering their two-run performance the game before.

Gavin Saylor looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Maddox Jones, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Blake Sams was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Hamilton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Middletown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Hamilton is taking a road trip to face off against Batavia at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Big Blue's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Middletown, they will be playing at home against Bishop Fenwick at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
