Basketball Recap: New Life Camp Comes Up Short

New Life Camp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the South Wake Sabres and fell 76-26. The Storm were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-13.

Hannah Brown was New Life Camp's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Caroline Brown took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with four assists.

It was another big night for Savannah Taylor, who went 9 of 12 on her way to 23 points and five boards for South Wake. The dominant performance gave Taylor a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Rebekah Hartzell, who went 5 for 7 en route to 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

New Life Camp's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-6. As for South Wake, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.

New Life Camp didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-43 win against Cary Christian on the 16th. As for South Wake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-30 defeat against Cresset Christian Academy on the 20th.
