Football Recap: Mccomb Starts Season with Loss on the Road

McComb kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 46-20 to the Monroeville Eagles. The contest was a 13-13 toss-up at halftime, but the Panthers couldn't quite close it out.

Monroeville was led to victory by Colton Clark and Connor Bores. Clark rushed for 200 yards and three scores while picking up 11.1 yards per carry, while Bores rushed for 189 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Clark a new career-high.

Looking ahead, McComb will challenge Toledo Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Monroeville, they will take on Calvert at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
