Basketball Recap: Reavis Comes Up Short

Reavis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 51-35 bruising from the Amundsen Vikings.

Amundsen found their leader in sophomore Olivia Chier, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Chier a new career-high in points. Jane Belmont was another key player, putting up 11 points and four steals.

Reavis' defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Amundsen, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.

Reavis will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lemont at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Amundsen, they will take on Rich Township in a tournament on Friday.
