Football Game Preview: Harvest Prep Warriors vs. KIPP Columbus Jaguars

Harvest Prep is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They will be playing at home against the KIPP Columbus Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Harvest Prep and 16 for KIPP Columbus dating back to last season.

Harvest Prep fought the good fight in their overtime game against Westerville South on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They and the Wildcats were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered a 29-28 loss.

Despite the defeat, Harvest Prep had strong showings from Collin Boff, who threw for 270 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Dezmond Porter, who gained 125 total yards.

Meanwhile, KIPP Columbus came up short against Bishop Hartley on Friday and fell 39-26. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while the Hawks are ranked 88th).

KIPP Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Harvest Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Everything went Harvest Prep's way against KIPP Columbus in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Harvest Prep made off with a 35-14 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
