Softball Recap: Anna Takes a Loss

Anna managed to slip by McKinney North the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Coyotes lost 14-4 to the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Coyotes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Anna dropped their record down to 6-8-1 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for McKinney North, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-14.

Looking ahead, Anna will welcome Melissa at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their 23rd straight win, something the Coyotes surely won't give up without a fight. As for McKinney North, they are taking a road trip to face off against Denison at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellow Jackets have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
