Volleyball Recap: Roncalli Picks Up Tenth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Roncalli, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Redfield Pheasants on Thursday. The Cavaliers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pheasants, too.

Roncalli got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final score came out to 25-12, 30-28, 22-25, 25-21.

Redfield's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Katryn Evans, who had 18 digs, and Hayden Gall, who had nine digs and eight kills. Gall is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.

Roncalli pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Redfield, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roncalli will welcome Miller at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Redfield, they will host Hitchcock-Tulare at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
