It was a proper cat-fight when Benton challenged Raymore-Peculiar on Tuesday. The Cardinals blew past the Panthers 3-0. The win was familiar territory for the Cardinals, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Benton not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Raymore-Peculiar between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-16, 25-17.

Raymore-Peculiar's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Lewis, who had ten digs and two assists.

Benton now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Raymore-Peculiar, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12-1 record this season.

Benton will welcome St. Pius X at 6:30 p.m. on the 17th. As for Raymore-Peculiar, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Lee's Summit on the 10th.
