Softball Recap: Monday's Win Is Northwood's Fifth in Last Six Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northridge, NorthWood was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Wawasee Warriors by a score of 10-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Chloe Davis, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Brooklyn Davis was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

NorthWood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

NorthWood has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Wawasee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

NorthWood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 15-1 win against Warsaw on the 14th. As for Wawasee, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-8 loss against Northridge on the 14th.
