Softball Recap: Green Canyon Wolves vs. Clearfield Falcons
Sadly, Green Canyon is still looking for their first win of the season after 16 games. They fell just short of the Clearfield Falcons by a score of 9-7 on Wednesday. One positive for Green Canyon, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Kylee Hickman was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off eight hits. Hickman was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.
Hickman wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Curtis, who went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and two RBI.
Even though they lost, Green Canyon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Like Green Canyon, Clearfield also got a great game from a two-way player: Jenna Lloyd. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.
