Volleyball Recap: Monroe Area Comes Up Short

Monroe Area was the 2-0 winner over Bethlehem Christian Academy when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Purple Hurricanes fell 2-0 to the Knights on Saturday. The Purple Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Innocence Arnold paced Monroe Area's offense, picking up ten kills. Arnold got some help from Alyssa Brown and her 21 assists. Finally, Marley Connell kept Monroe Area's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Monroe Area's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Monroe Area is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Apalachee at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, they will face off against Jackson County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
