Basketball Recap: Sheldon Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bronaugh on Tuesday, Sheldon came back down to earth. The Panthers took a 60-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northeast Vernon County Knights on Friday. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.

Sheldon now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Northeast Vernon County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Sheldon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-50 win against Chilhowee on the 6th. Northeast Vernon County has also already played their next game (against Miami), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
