Soccer Recap: Waconia Comes Up Short

Waconia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the St. Michael-Albertville Knights, falling 5-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Waconia of the 6-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Waconia's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for St. Michael-Albertville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Waconia will welcome Eagan at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eagan's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Waconia's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for St. Michael-Albertville, they will venture away from home to take on Minnetonka at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
