Lutheran is a perfect 4-0 against Hannibal since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cougars will square off against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m.

Last Thursday, Lutheran came up short against Hillsboro and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 25-16, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Hannibal waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-17, 25-13.

Hannibal's win bumped their record up to 24-9-1. As for Lutheran, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-19-2.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's contest: Lutheran has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Hannibal struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
