Football Recap: Central Cabarrus Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Central Cabarrus fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Northwest Cabarrus on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 27-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 270th, while the Trojans are ranked 72nd).

Titus Troy was nothing short of spectacular for Northwest Cabarrus: he rushed for 200 yards and one TD while picking up 8.7 yards per carry.

Central Cabarrus' defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Cabarrus will face off against Mount Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Ashbrook at 7:00 p.m.
