Basketball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Boca Raton Christian's Third in Last Four Outings

Boca Raton Christian won the last time they faced Dreyfoos School of the Arts, and Joshua Good did his part to make sure it happened again. The Boca Raton Christian Blazers blew past the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Jaguars 78-55 on Thursday thanks in part to Good, who went 13 of 26 on his way to 39 points along with eight boards and six steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Boca Raton Christian's points.

Another player making a difference was Vance Taylor, who posted six points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

Dreyfoos School of the Arts' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Griffin, who went 6 for 11 en route to 17 points. Griffin continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Jimerson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Boca Raton Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Dreyfoos School of the Arts, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Boca Raton Christian has already played their next contest, a 71-59 win against Abundant Life Christian Academy on the 17th. As for Dreyfoos School of the Arts, they will square off against Berean Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
