Volleyball Recap: Alvin Comes Up Short

Alvin lost against Dawson back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets lost 3-0 to the Eagles. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-9, 25-8.

Lauren Weber paced Alvin's offense, picking up three kills. Weber got some help from Jatara Roland and her four assists.

Alvin's loss dropped their record down to 13-24. As for Dawson, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 35-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Alvin will take on rival Dobie at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Dawson is set to square off against their familiar foe Manvel at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
