Football Recap: Nathalia Raio and Brooklyn Frattali Pace Hart Defense

Hart won the last time they faced Valencia and things went their way on Monday too. The Hawks snuck past the Vikings with a 13-7 win.

Hart can attribute much of their success to Jessica Gutierrez, who picked up 45 receiving yards and two scores. That's the most receiving touchdowns Gutierrez has posted since back in October of 2024.

Hart didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Nathalia Raio and Brooklyn Frattali. Melodi Mendez was another major factor on D, picking up three sacks and making six total tackles.

The victory got Hart back to even at 2-2. As for Valencia, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hart will take on Highland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 48.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Valencia, they are taking a road trip to challenge Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
