Chino Valley hasn't had much luck against River Valley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Dust Devils at 3:45 p.m.

Chino Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Amaya, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another was McKenzie Casner, who earned three runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, River Valley entered their tilt with Highland Prep on Monday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They didn't even let the Honey Badgers on the board, marking their second-straight 20-0 shutout. Considering the Dust Devils have won nine contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Sophia Reyes was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, River Valley got a massive performance out of Tamarie Williams, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Chastiny Gonzalez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
River Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .679. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in six consecutive matchups.
River Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Chino Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
