Volleyball Game Preview: Mountain View Mountain Lions vs. Notre Dame Prep Saints + How To Watch

The Mountain View Mountain Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Notre Dame Prep Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain View is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Mountain View came up short against Chaparral on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-12, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame Prep faced Horizon in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Saints fell 3-1 to the Huskies. The Saints have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

While Notre Dame Prep had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 27-29, 25-18, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Notre Dame Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kenzie Schwab had eight digs and two aces.

Notre Dame Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Mountain View, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.

Mountain View might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Notre Dame Prep when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Mountain Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
