Volleyball Game Preview: West Point-Beemer Cadets vs. Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats

The West Point-Beemer Cadets will head out on the road to square off against the Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, West Point-Beemer came up short against Oakland-Craig and fell 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Hartington-Newcastle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Laurel-Concord-Coleridge.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-9, 25-8.

West Point-Beemer's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Hartington-Newcastle, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.

West Point-Beemer took their win against Hartington-Newcastle in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cadets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
