Basketball Recap: Sherwood Takes a Loss

Sherwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Concordia Fighting Orioles, falling 56-30. The Marksmen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Orioles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Sherwood lost, don't look at Jordan Harms. Despite the final result, she posted eight points and three steals. What's more, Harms also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Heidi Doores, who had four points.

Sherwood's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Concordia, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Sherwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 35-30 loss against Leeton on the 29th. As for Concordia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 61-60 victory against Knob Noster on the 28th.
