Basketball Recap: Saint James Comes Up Short

Saint James dropped to 16-5 on Tuesday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They took a blow against the Sidwell Friends Quakers, falling 59-31. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Saints have suffered since February 7, 2025.

Despite the defeat, Saint James had strong showings from Jayden Yates, who posted nine points, and Khian Hall, who earned seven points.

As for Sidwell Friends, they pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 21.6 points.

Jadah Washington was his usual excellent self, shooting 50% from the field en route to 10 points along with seven assists and seven boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Ian Condon was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Saint James didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-43 loss against Maret on the 4th. As for Sidwell Friends, they have also already played their next matchup, a 70-29 win against Georgetown Day on the 6th.
