Basketball Game Preview: Harmony Area Owls vs. West Branch Warriors

The Harmony Area Owls will head out to square off against the West Branch Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Harmony Area has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 7.

Harmony Area is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Marion Center on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Harmony Area took a blow against Marion Center, falling 73-42. The Owls were down 58-31 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for West Branch, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They snuck past Williamsburg with a 46-42 victory on Tuesday.

West Branch's win was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.9 points per game. As for Harmony Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

Harmony Area was taken down by West Branch 89-48 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Harmony Area avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
