Baseball Recap: Chester Takes a Loss

Chester lost to Redding Christian last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Volcanoes lost 15-5 to the Lions. The Volcanoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chester saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grady Klimek, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Josiah Van Gieson was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Chester's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Redding Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season.

Chester is taking a road trip to challenge Hayfork at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Redding Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
